This week in anguish:

- The offseason, long a bastion of competition-less safety and glowing training reports, has taken a more dire turn. We remain concerned that Petey might sign an offer sheet, and we regret the inexorable march of ads across the front of NHL jerseys.

- It's almost harvest time, the blueberries are heavy on the vine (or whatever), and Ardella's mind has turned entirely pastoral.

- We recall the long and winding road to bring the Canucks' AHL affiliate to the Lower Mainland, refresh ourselves on Ryan Johnson's Canuck career, before finally culling the herd...or hearing from Cull, rather.

- Part of the beauty of hockey is that it can unite people from all walks of life and all corners of the globe. But forget that - let's geek out on all the future Abbotsford Canucks who were born within 50 km of us.

- As it turns out, the Canucks not having an ECHL affiliate is like the Tower of London not having ravens...and we just lost our Wings!

- Tristan has some compliments for the Portland Winterhawks design team, and some probing questions for the top men at CCM toiling away on the Abbotsford Canucks' jerseys. They were so busy asking whether they could that they never heard Tristan asking why on Earth they would.
