This week in anguish:

- The Canucks' two steps forward, one step back approach to life has us wondering if we'll ever cross the finish line in time.

- We welcome Jimmy Vesey to the team. Or at least we meant to. We end up questioning his character, the reasons for his being waived by the Maple Leafs, his demand-iness, and express concern for his possibly non-existent family. OK, so this one got away from us. Welcome to Vancouver, Jim!

- We give some rare props to the Aquilinis for their pivot to using Rogers Arena as a food prep and donation hub, and then immediately return to excoriating this management group for their inability to talk to their players.

- Inspired by You'll Never Walk Alone, we conduct an exhaustive search for a song all Canucks fans can sing in good times and bad, a search which leads, obviously, to the back catalogue of the Örnsköldsvik Lumberjacks.
