This week in anguish:
- Seems to dare Jim Rutherford to fire it, so flippantly does it thumb its nose at the very concept of structure.
- A roadtrip of comparisons has stolen Tristan's joy, but never fear! The last nine seasons of futility have almost fully numbed his frayed nerves.
- In a fit of November Neurosis, Ardella has dehumanizingly bracketed every one of the Canucks' 48 contracts, pitting them against each other in a hunch-based, cap-free battle royale. Tristan immediately proceeds to draft the makings of a team that would get likeably trounced by its own castoffs.
- The ballet-inspired Soviet coach Tristan was thinking of was Anatoly Tarasov. His dictatorial successor was indeed Viktor Tikhonov, but it was Vsevolod Bobrov who coached the Soviet team at the '72 Summit. Vsevolod!
