This week in anguish:

- Is almost entirely anguish-free for the first time in the life of this podcast. The first honest-to-goodness, tangible team victory has us walking on air and has Tristan constantly bumping into his microphone with over-enthusiasm. (Sorry.)

- How Did We Not Know about Christopher Tanev's untouchable overtime goal percentage rate, and about Daniel Sedin's vaunted place in the all-time overtime goal-scorer's ranks.

- The compliments are flowing and we have nice things to say about the perpetually favoured and the oft-maligned.

- His TOI stats notwithstanding, Troy from Richmond had himself a quietly serviceable series, and even more importantly, he won the game within a game against his erstwhile idol Jared Spurgeon. A Stech in Time this week celebrates a Minnesota Wild blogger who just...gets it.

- Buttressed by two years of breathless Pettersson Praise Portions, Tristan uncharacteristically takes Ryan Hartman’s side in the case of fist v. back of head, Alex Stalock’s side in the case of sportsmanship v. stick-shoving, and the side of thrift in the case of normal v. eye-wateringly expensive shirts. Oh, the magnanimity of victory.
